Desert National Wildlife Refuge

About 45 minutes from Las Vegas, Nevada is the Desert National Wildlife Refuge. Kevin and I spent the day hiking, bird watching and driving our jeep in the wildlife refuge.

Along the trail is a building filled with little fish. The Pahrump pool fish is 2 to 3 inches long, or the length of your ring finger. It can live for about three years. The fish were on the verge of extinct until some were moved to this building.
