Happy Birding!

Fun Trivia:

  • Yellow-rumped Warblers are hardy birds, adapted to live on berries (especially wax myrtle fruits) when cold weather makes insects scarce as a food item.
  • Of all the warblers, only the yellow-rumped warbler seems able to digest the waxy fruits of bayberries and wax myrtles.

  1. They are cute birds, I saw some flying away today! It is wonderful to start seeing the warblers again! Thank you for linking up to the critter party. Have a happy weekend!

  2. We have them here in south Florida all winter, and they leave all at once around mid-March. Things then get very quiet on the birding front until the hoped-for surge of spring migrants begins.
