The Hooded Oriole

Hooded Oriole in Murrieta, California

Kevin and I were BBQing in the backyard when Kevin looked up and saw this Male Hooded Oriole in our Palm Tree. The Oriole was primping and cleaning itself.

The next day this female Hooded Oriole was sipping from our hummingbird feeder.

  1. I like the oriole family of birds. Often colourful, especially this one. Here in the UK we have the yellow Golden Oriole but it is quite rare to see one.

  2. The Hooded Oriole is a gorgeous bird. I would love to add this bird to my life list someday. Great post and photos. Thank you for linking up to my critter party. Enjoy your weekend and Happy Easter!
