Shake Down Trip-Thousand Trails Idyllwild

Kevin and I decided to use the free Thousand Trails one year membership that Mike Thompson RV in Colton provided for us when we bought our RV from them.

We found a nice spot at the Idyllwild Preserve in Southern California. The place has a wonderful forest feel to it. Our yorkie likes his walks around the park but most of our time is spend learning our RV.

The campground has a cafe, store, swimming pool, small fishing pond, activities, nature trails and friendly campers. This makes up for the steep mountain drive on the way up here.

Kevin and I spotted this on our walk around the campground.

We also spotted several birds we are familiar with and two bird for our life list a White-headed Woodpecker & White-breasted Nuthatch.

Happy Camping!
