San Diego Day Fun Adventures

Kevin and I camped at Silver Strand State Beach in San Diego, California.

The Sunsets & Sunrises were fun to watch.

I have two Passport books we used in San Diego.

The women at the Carrillo National Monument visitor center had both stamps for the passport books. It cost us $5.00 to park at the visitor center.

Many people have seen the spray from whales spouts from Cabrillo Monument. The view is spectacular from the monument. I talked to a woman at the Harbor Town Pub that had her wedding pictures taken at the monument.

The Old Point Loma Lighthouse

The dedicated keeper was on duty-24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no vacations. This seemed like a good location for a lighthouse but the fog and low clouds often made it hard to see the light. On March 23, 1891 the lighthouse was closed. A new lighthouse is built on the bottom of the hill.

Our next adventure was at the tide pools

Kevin got a great shot here.

Fellow birder & blogger Greg mentioned the fish & chips at Harbor Town Pub so Kevin and I had lunch there. The atmosphere was “Cheers” like. We liked the fish & chips.
