Red-tailed Hawk

This Red-tailed Hawk was in my backyard area.

This Red-tailed Hawk was in my backyard area. The hawks tail is easy to identify.

The Hawk turned its head slightly to look at me.

The hawk fully turned its head to see me. It was a incredible experience to see.

  1. He looks like a Western Redtail … he is smaller and much darker than the ones we see here in Illinois. But, we do have a Western Red Tail in our education program. He was attacked by an eagle and saved by a rehaber. He lives here now and he is full of spirit. Beautiful pictures, Janet … how long did he stay after he saw you?
