Thousand Trails Zone Pass

TTMap_rfw

Kevin and I are going fulltiming in May 2015.
Kevin is continuing to work so our travels are limited.

We decided to continue our thousand trails membership the dealer bought us last year but we up graded. The Wilderness Lakes thousand trails campground and Idyllwild thousand trails campground are near Kevin’s work so the $3.00 a day camping with full hook ups comes in handy for us. I plan on using our thousand trails membership for 14 days then using our Passport America membership for most for the 7 days we’re out of the thousand trails system.

I read a great post from RV Love about thousand trails membership upgrades. Is the thousand trails zone pass right for you?  and Thousand Trails Upgrades

We bought the two zone deal for 4 years. It gives me a sense of comfort to have inexpensive places to camp with people that are a community if I need it during our travels. We haven’t joined any RV club chapters yet but when the timing is right we’re going to join a club.

We bought the Northwest zone because

  • I would like to spend our Summers on the Oregon coast a few times. Why? the beaches and lighthouses
  • Visit Washington
  • See British Columbia, Canada

We also like the Las Vegas Thousand Trails included in the Southwest zone. Las Vegas is like the extra sugar on top of a big Southwest zone cupcake. Wilderness Lakes, Idyllwild, Oakzanite Springs and Pio Pico I enjoyed them all! What’s not to like electric & water for $3.00 a night.

Joshua 1-877-503-7622 helped us buy our new membership of two zones for $425 with a four-year commitment. We can change zones once during the four years. A one year membership of ready, camp, go is included.

Happy Travels!

  1. We love our two-zone pass. We are thinking about upgrading even further after we go full time, once the grandkids are in elementary school. If you haven’t been to Verde Valley/Cottonwood, AZ yet, that’s another great campground. Our goal this year is to hit as many of the campgrounds in WA, OR and Northern CA as we can.

  2. Thanks for the links! We just heard an industry expert talk about TT this weekend. Sounds like a great deal. We still haven’t had our test RV rental yet, but will be doing that in May and then look out RV world! 🙂
