Handyman Day

A relationship is like a house. When the light bulb burns out you don’t go and buy a new one, you fix the light bulb. by relationshipblog.com

Our shower started leaking this weekend. Instead of bringing it into the shop right away Kevin did the work himself. The shower was leaking from lack of caulking around the shower drain.

Kevin unscrewed the inspection port so we could see under the shower.

He saw what was causing the water to leak on the floor.

Using the flashlight he saw what was causing the water to leak on the floor.

He went to the local RV shop and bought some caulking to reinforce the shower drain.

After the caulking dryed I poured water down the drain while Kevin looked for leaks. All Clear! The leak is fixed without making a trip to the RV shop.

  1. Ah! Water leaks…. We retired to the full-time RV lifestyle thinking we’d have time to relax (fishing, writing, reading, hiking…) and instead found out it was like swapping one job (a paid one at that) for another (fixing, fixing, fixing… unpaid). Still, we can’t think of any place we’re ready to settle! We just decided to adopt the mantra: “If it’s not one thing, it’s another…” Good for you for handling the repair!
