Pahranagat Wildlife Refuge in Nevada
Kevin and I set out from Las Vegas to see this wildlife refuge that I’ve heard so much about from Nina’s Wheelingit.us blog.
Wildlife refuge stamps are in the visitor center for the blue goose stamp books. The staff is friendly and helpful.
On the walking trail around the visitor center we saw this buck. I thought he was a statue until his leg moved. Also, near this spot was a female hiding in the brushes.
This building called the “Petroglyph Cabin” is on the walking trail by the visitor center.
American White Pelicans in Nevada? This pelican must be stopping for a break at Pahranagat before heading to the coast.
We saw several places to camp in a motorhome or a tent at the wildlife refuge. Its a beautiful place to see wildlife, birdwatch & camp.
