Kevin and I stayed a few days at Blanca, CO. Using Passport America we stayed two nights at Blanca RV Park for $16.00 a night. Its a no frills campground near 160 East. We had full hookup plus quick campground wifi. We were able to use the campground as a home base to explore the area.
Great Sands National Park – is a dog friendly park. Many people bring their dogs to the sand dunes to play. Also, people played on the sand dunes, walked in the streams, jeeped the trails, walked the nature & hiking trails
Visitor center was closed but this wildlife refuge has a auto tour route. We drove around in our car looking at birds around the refuge.
