Loveland, Colorado

Kevin and I explored several places while camping in Loveland, Colorado.

The Stanley Hotel

The Stanley Hotel in Este Park, Colorado.

The local legend regarding Stephen King’s book The Shining is…Stephen King was inspired to write The Shining after staying in room 217 at The Stanley Hotel one night with his wife. He didn’t write the book at the hotel and the 1980’s film wasn’t filmed here. The TV movie version used The Stanley Hotel as a location. The hotel has several ghost tours for tourist.
