Christmas Dec 2015

Photo Challenge- The Now

True happiness is… to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future.  by Lucius Annaeus Seneca

During the holiday season its important to Kevin and I that we are in the now with our families. We spent 2 months in Southern California where most of our family live.  Hoping to make good memories with them during our stay.

We celebrated Christmas on the 23rd with our daughter Katie because she had to work Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.

On Christmas Eve we celebrated at my sister Linda’s house. She has a gingerbread house contest every year.

This is a picture of me, my brother Jim & his grandson Finely. My great nephew Finely is a superstar on the utube channel  Daily Bumps .

On the 25th Kevin & I plan to relax with a X-Files marathon.

Merry Christmas!

  1. The gingerbread houses brings back wonderful memories. When I taught third grade, the students made gingerbread house with their parents every year in our classroom. They put on a Gingerbread Boy play than everyone met in the classroom to build the house. The students built the house using graham crackers and a half gallon wax carton that I had precut to resemble a house. Each family brought their own Royal Icing recipe and everyone donated the candy. It was always a special day. All of our third grades participated so we had great afternoon. Your houses turned out great! Fun tradition!

Merry Christmas and enjoy your relaxing day:) Our daughter flies in tonight from PA. I can hardly wait:)
