Visiting in Southern California

Kevin and I met our daughter Katie at Burger Lounge. We haven’t seen her in months. She met us after work. Its such a joy to see her. She works as an LVN and goes to school to get her RN degree. We found a seat right away at the Burger Lounge. I was so excited to see her. Katie recommended the fresh root beer. I usually stay away from unhealthy sugar drinks but this time, I indulged and the fresh root beer was good. Kevin and I split the classic burger. We all shared the onion rings/fries. We had a good conversation with Katie. Kevin and I made plans to see her again.

Farmer Market Haul

One of our favorite places to visit while staying at Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trails is visiting the Old Town Temecula Farmers Market. Its one of the biggest farmers markets we’ve been to. We found corn, broccoli, potatoes, strawberries, blackberries, bell peppers, onions, smoked salmon, cilantro, tomatoes and spinach. I saw plants, cactus, soap, paintings, different foods, breads, hair bows, smoothies and woodworking. We’ve been steaming the veggies in our Pressure Cooker XL and using most of the fruits in yogurt deserts.

Its nice to be back at Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trails. The park has made a few changes. My sister & her grandchildren came over to visit us at the campground. My great-niece and great-nephew assured me the playground is fun. We all tried out the mini golf course, pool, jacuzzi and playground. The family jacuzzi has been redone. The jets are strong and the new seating is comfortable. The mini golf course is cleaned and ready for kids and adult. The old dairy is gone. I’m looking forward to our holiday time here.

Happy RVing!
